Power Yoga is a Hatha Yoga style with emphasis placed on Vinyasa (movement within breath), alignment, strength, and balance. Power Yoga is about more than just getting fit, flexible and strong; Yoga is not something you do, rather it is the  state of mind you keep in anything you do. True power comes from within.

Power Yoga challenges the body physically in each asana (posture) allowing the practitioner to confront obstacles and barriers stored deep within their bodies (muscles and connective tissues) and ultimately in the mind. Awareness of the breath creates a deep focus and sensitivity in each of the postures, allowing us to work with the body and not against it. Movements become graceful yet powerful, the body becomes strong and supple and the mind becomes clear.
